We are now looking for a DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER to work on our Data and Platform Engineering team in Vantaa, Finland. In this role, your job is to design reliable, secure, and user-friendly data tools for Finnair’s customer, commercial, and operational domains. You will be one of the leaders of the architecture, infrastructure and tooling development of our Data Warehouse, Data Ingestion & Transformation Tools, and Workflow Orchestration. You will learn the different aspects of our customer, commercial, and operational landscape. You will also work together with data engineers on shared practices and tools between different data domains. You Will Help Us Democratize data engineering and analytics work by designing easy-to-use tools and automating manual work. Make our data flows more reliable and secure by standardizing the patterns for ingesting, transforming and orchestrating data. Deliver data faster by investigating new technologies and common performance bottlenecks. Be more cost-efficient by making smart design choices and reacting to anomalies. Encourage collaboration by sharing common engineering practices and reusable tooling across data domains. Create a strong foundation for Finnair’s future analytics and AI use cases. From You, We Wish Solid experience in data engineering or data platform development. Experience in change management in a complex technical environment. Interest in airline Industry. Excellent communication skills and positive mindset to work in a social, friendly and international team. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Previous experience in at least some of our stack (see below).
