Sales Executive – Tourism & DMC

m you.Sales Executive – Tourism & DMC Ruka Safaris, part of Lapland Boutique Resorts, is looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our team in Ruka, Finnish Lapland. The position is based onsite at our office in Iisakki Village. Please apply only if you are currently based in Finland, are legally entitled to work in Finland, and are available to work onsite in Ruka. Professional Finnish and English, together with previous practical experience using both Mews and FareHarbor, are essential requirements. ABOUT THE ROLE As Sales Executive, you will manage sales enquiries and reservations from international and domestic clients, tour operators and travel agencies. You will work closely with our sales, accommodation, restaurant, activity and operations teams to build attractive programmes and ensure that every booking is handled accurately from the initial request through to delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Respond to sales enquiries and prepare quotations, itineraries and proposals. • Manage FIT and group reservations from the first enquiry to final confirmation. • Maintain and develop relationships with tour operators, travel agencies and other B2B partners. • Coordinate accommodation, activities, transfers, meals and other services with internal teams and external suppliers. • Enter, update and monitor reservations in Mews and FareHarbor. • Follow booking deadlines, availability, payment terms and cancellation conditions. • Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. • Support sales reporting, partner communication and other commercial activities. • Ensure that booking information is accurate and clearly communicated to operations. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • Currently residing in Finland. • Legally entitled to work in Finland. • Able and willing to work onsite at Iisakki Village in Ruka. • Professional working proficiency in both Finnish and English. • At least one year of sales experience in the tourism or hospitality industry. • Previous practical working experience with both Mews and FareHarbor. • Experience managing sales enquiries, quotations, reservations and customer or partner communication. • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several bookings simultaneously. • A proactive, commercial and customer-focused approach. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience working for a DMC, incoming tour operator or travel agency. • Experience with international B2B clients, tour operators and travel agencies. • Knowledge of other reservation, CRM, OTA, channel-management or activity-management systems. • Additional languages. • Knowledge of Ruka, Kuusamo or the Lapland tourism industry.
