Logistics Specialist — Events, Cleaning & Facility Operations Hype Siivous | Helsinki, Finland Full-time or part-time Hype Siivous is looking for a reliable, practical and proactive Logistics Specialist to support event preparation, cleaning and daily operations at an innovation facility hosting approximately 500–600 internal community and private events annually. This hands-on role combines furniture setup, equipment movement, cleaning and facility support. You will take ownership of assigned tasks, communicate clearly and help leave every space safe, organised and ready for use. Cleaning is a regular and essential part of this position. The role is not limited to event logistics or furniture preparation. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Event preparation and logistics Prepare meeting rooms and event spaces according to agreed floor plans and event requirements. Arrange tables, chairs and equipment with attention to presentation, accessibility and safe movement. Handle load-in and load-out: move furniture, equipment and supplies into and out of the venue. Move items between nearby spaces or locations, including driving when assigned. Support orderly venue entry and departure, keeping entrances, exits and circulation routes clear. Restore furniture and equipment after events. Check equipment and furniture and report damage or missing items. Follow safe lifting and handling procedures, using suitable equipment and team support. Cleaning and facility care Clean and prepare spaces before, during and after events. Vacuum and mop floors, wipe tables, chairs and accessible surfaces, empty bins and remove ordinary waste. Carry out assigned cleaning of meeting rooms, event spaces, common areas, kitchens or kitchenettes, and washrooms. Leave spaces clean, organised and ready for their next use. Use cleaning products and equipment safely, following training and site instructions. Report maintenance needs, missing supplies and cleanliness or safety concerns. Communication and ownership Coordinate with the Event Manager and facility team on schedules, layouts, changes and readiness. Plan and prioritise work during busy periods. Complete tasks with limited supervision while keeping colleagues informed. Provide clear handovers and report delays or unfinished tasks promptly. Follow through on commitments, take responsibility and ask for support when needed. Help coordinate practical setup tasks with colleagues when assigned. The balance between logistics, event preparation and cleaning varies with the event schedule and facility needs. Duties are carried out within the agreed role, training and safe working practices. What we are looking for Relevant experience in event logistics, furniture setup, cleaning, facility operations or similar practical work. A valid category B driving licence and driving experience. Excellent practical English for understanding instructions, coordinating tasks and reporting issues. Finnish and/or Swedish language skills are an advantage, but are not required. Ability to safely perform physically demanding logistics and cleaning duties, using appropriate handling equipment and team support. Good understanding of room layouts and furniture positioning. Strong organisation, attention to detail and a cooperative attitude towards logistics and cleaning duties. Initiative, practical leadership and a strong sense of responsibility. A calm, solution-focused approach when schedules change or deadlines are tight. Ability to work independently while staying connected with the team. Work eligibility: Applicants must have a valid right to work in Finland for this role and a lawful basis to reside in Finland. Where a residence permit is required, it must be valid and allow the work concerned. Relevant documentation will be verified before employment begins. Preferred qualifications: An Occupational Safety Card (Työturvallisuuskortti) and Hygiene Passport (Hygieniapassi) are advantages, but are not mandatory requirements for applying. Employment and working hours Full-time: Permanent employment, 37.5 hours per week. Full-time work and onboarding start on 15 January 2027. Part-time: Starts immediately and continues until further notice. Variable working hours of 0–20 hours per week. No minimum weekly hours are guaranteed. Schedule: Monday to Saturday, with agreed early-morning, daytime or evening shifts according to event bookings. Workload varies seasonally, with greater staffing needs during busy periods. Flexibility means working agreed shifts—not being available around the clock. 6.5 hours a day. Pay: According to the applicable collective agreement.
