About the role In this role, you will lead and execute mechanical design for innovative electronic devices and optical sensor systems. Work tasks In this role, you will lead and execute mechanical design for innovative electronic devices and optical sensor systems. You will play a central role in transforming concepts into reliable, mass-manufacturable products, working closely with cross-functional teams in a compact, dynamic environment. - End-to-end mechanical engineering from initial concept design to final production support. - Designing small, highly complex injection-molded plastic components. - Integrating optics, sensors, and LEDs into compact device frames. - Utilizing airflow and thermal management simulations to optimize product performance and reliability. - Taking full ownership of the mechanical design department and self-coordinating your daily work. We are looking for - Advanced knowledge of injection-molded plastic design for small, complex products - Good understanding of fluid dynamics (CFD) and airflow simulation - Strong capability for self-coordination and taking full ownership of projects - Professional working proficiency in English It is meritorious if you have - Knowledge of optics design, particularly lenses, reflectors, or thermal imaging - Experience designing consumer electronics, wearables, or laboratory devices - Proficiency in Finnish To succeed in the role, your personal skills are: - Stress tolerant - Orderly - Responsible - Assertive - Intellectually curious - Respectful Our recruitment process This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work and it is our clients wish that all questions regarding the position is directed to Academic Work.
