Project Manager / AI Governance Lead

For our client in the banking sector, were seeking a Project Manager / AI Governance Lead to lead the governance and delivery of a high-risk AI system project under the EU AI Act. This is a combined role that merges two critical functions: project management and AI governance. The role must shape requirements, controls and evidence throughout design, build, validation and deployment.The consultant will be the regulatory-to-delivery translator, converting the AI Act into practical controls, deliverables and evidence while keeping the project on track. Knowledge of the EU AI Act risk classification and the distinct obligations it places on providers and deployers is required. Must-have knowledge and experience: - EU AI Act high-risk requirements - Risk & control frameworks: ability to design operating controls, not just interpret legal text - Regulatory implementation in practice: building governance gates, evidence models, RACI frameworks - Project management: integrated delivery across business, technology and regulatory workstreams Ways of Working: - Structured thinking, facilitation and stakeholder management - Ability to operate in delivery mode owning a workplan, running governance gates, tracking remediation (not only advisory mode) - Cross-functional orchestration: managing dependencies across business, AI, IT, risk, compliance, legal and privacy Background could include: - AI governance/responsible AI programme delivery - Quantitative risk analyst - Financial-services compliance or operational risk - Technology/data risk management - Internal controls - Regulated transformation programme management Answer these questions separately in a few sentences and attach them to your application!
