The Role We’re looking for a Lead Product Owner, Core Services to join our BiC Digital Channels Product team and play a key role in shaping and growing our digital channel core services across web and native iOS and Android apps. Reporting to the Head of Product, BiC Digital Channels, you will lead the Core Services product area, ensuring that product development across Web Core Services, App Core Services and Design System is aligned with Digital Channels’ overall goals and long-term product vision. The role has business responsibility and ownership for Regulatory and Compliance product areas, ensuring that regulatory requirements are translated into clear product priorities and delivered effectively across the relevant digital channels. You will lead and develop a team of Product Owners responsible for App Core Services, Web Core Services and Design System, providing direction, prioritization and support while ensuring strong collaboration across Product, Marketing, UX, Tech and Data. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll translate business, regulatory and player needs into clear priorities, guide roadmap execution and releases, and ensure measurable improvements to our core digital experiences in line with Veikkaus’ commitment to responsible and sustainable gaming. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the Core Services product area, in close collaboration with the Head of Product, including App Core Services, Web Core Services and Design System, ensuring alignment with Digital Channels’ overall strategy and product vision. Lead, coach and support the Product Owners responsible for App Core Services, Web Core Services and Design System, ensuring effective prioritization, delivery and continuous development of their respective product areas. Own the overall Core Services roadmap and ensure creation of business goals and epics, effective coordination and prioritization. Act as the business responsible and product owner for Regulatory and Compliance product areas, ensuring regulatory requirements are understood, prioritized and effectively delivered across Digital Channels. Own and manage product backlogs and oversee priorities to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term strategic objectives. Plan and coordinate product launches and releases across Core Services, ensuring business, regulatory, customer and technical requirements are appropriately considered. Collaborate in defining and prioritizing Core Services requirements, including app- and web-specific capabilities, aligned with business objectives, regulatory obligations and customer goals. Gather and translate complex business, regulatory and front-end requirements into actionable epics and initiatives that align with the long-term roadmap while enabling short-term delivery. Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, UX, Tech, Data, Marketing and other business stakeholders to ensure delivery outcomes match business strategy and regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyze key metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in Core Services, customer experience and digital channel performance. Contribute to long-term planning for the evolution of Veikkaus’ digital channels, supporting scalable, responsible and innovative player experiences. Represent Core Services in relevant strategic and cross-functional forums, ensuring clear alignment, decision-making and communication across stakeholders. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, UX and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of agreed high-quality outcomes.
