Design Engineer

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our Nordic Design Service team in one of our offices in Vaasa or Peräseinäjoki, Finland. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring successful frame design processes in our projects and supporting Nordec’s competitiveness and profitability through high-quality, efficient and standardized design solutions. As a Design Engineer you are responsible for Modeling steel structures and prepare detailed design documentation for Nordic projects. Coordinating steel structures with adjoining structures such as concrete structures, façades and other project interfaces. Creating accurate outputs for factory and site use, including drawings, details, reports and transfer files. Supporting a smooth and successful frame design process by ensuring design quality, constructability and timely delivery. Collaborating with project stakeholders to resolve design-related questions and support efficient project execution. To succeed in this role, we expect you to have MSc or BSc degree in engineering or another relevant technical field. Experience in CAD design and steel structure design. Strong Tekla Structures modelling and design skills. At least one year of experience designing steel structures. Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage priorities in a project-driven environment. Good communication and cooperation skills in a project environment. Language skills in Finnish, Swedish and English.
