The role involves coordinating QA/QC of LV/MV systems and electrical installations, reviewing tests and documentation, and establishing statutory inspection and handover paths. Required qualifications are a Bachelor's degree, about five years' experience and work proficiency in Finnish and English with knowledge of Finnish statutory inspection practices. (CHEC) is a world-renowned international contractor and a leading provider of comprehensive services across the entire industry chain for both public and private sectors. CHEC has been engaged as the main contractor for the CAM Plant project in Kotka, responsible for the implementation and construction of the plant. We are looking for an experienced Electrical QA/QC & MEP Compliance Engineer to join the CHEC team for the Kotka CAM Plant project to support the project during the installation, testing, statutory inspection, commissioning and handover stages. The role is not limited to conventional electrical site inspection. The key objective is to establish and maintain a clear compliance and handover path connecting: Installation - QA/QC Inspection - Testing Documentation - Third-Party Inspection - Statutory/Authority Requirements - Commissioning - Final Handover. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate QA/QC activities for electrical works, including LV/MV systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, motors, cabling, earthing, lighting and other electrical installations. Review electrical installation quality, inspection and testing records, commissioning documentation, material documentation, NCRs, punch items and as-built records. Verify that electrical installations have the required quality evidence and documentation before testing, energization, commissioning and handover. Identify applicable Finnish statutory inspection and compliance requirements for electrical installations and establish a clear inspection and approval route. Coordinate, where required, with electrical contractors, designers, authorized inspectors, third-party inspection bodies and relevant Finnish authorities. Support the project in defining the required certificates, declarations, inspection records and other evidence necessary for final statutory compliance and handover. Develop and maintain an Electrical Statutory Inspection & Compliance Matrix, showing system/package, applicable requirement, responsible party, required inspection/test, third party/authority involvement, required vidence, status and outstanding actions. Extend the same methodology to other MEP systems where appropriate and support the project in establishing an overall MEP Statutory Compliance & Handover Matrix, covering interfaces such as HVAC, fire protection and machinery. Review subcontractor handover dossiers for completeness, compliance and traceability, and identify documentation or compliance gaps before formal handover. Support the Construction, QA/QC, Engineering and Commissioning teams in defining handover readiness and distinguishing physical completion, quality close-out, statutory compliance and contractual handover. What we expect from you Strong electrical engineering and QA/QC experience. Practical knowledge of Finnish industrial project requirements, local inspection practices, third-party inspection bodies and statutory compliance processes. Work proficiency of English and Finnish.
