System Architect for Core & Credits

We are strengthening our architecture capabilities and are looking for a System Architect for Core & Credits. In this role, you will help shape the technical direction of our credit solutions while working closely with Team Credit and fellow architects across the organization. You will combine hands-on development with architectural responsibility, contributing both to day-to-day delivery and to the long-term evolution of our products. **Personal Skills** We are looking for a proactive and self-driven person with strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to see the bigger picture. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with others, and combine a business-oriented mindset with solid technical understanding. **Main Responsibilities** As System Architect, you will take part in both hands-on development and architectural work. You will support the team by clarifying requirements, designing technical solutions, guiding implementation, and helping ensure that our systems remain secure, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with the product roadmap. **Define and Analyze System Requirements** – Define and analyze functional and non-functional system requirements in close collaboration with system users, product owners, and other stakeholders. – Translate requirements into clear guidance for developers and application managers through models, prototypes, guidelines, and instructions. **Develop Technical Roadmap** – Develop, maintain, and communicate the technical roadmap for your area of responsibility. – Actively reduce existing technical debt and help prevent new technical debt from being introduced. – Drive system changes in line with the roadmap and help ensure that development progresses in a coordinated and sustainable way. **Evaluate Cost and Time** – Assess cost, time, and value when evaluating manual routines, hardware, third-party products, existing software, or new development. **Architectural Design and System Decomposition** – Design and evolve the fundamental system structure that supports ongoing product development. – Support developers and application managers in resolving issues in a way that is consistent with the architectural direction. – Make technical decisions within your area of responsibility, in alignment with the roadmap and relevant stakeholders. – Align with your immediate manager before decisions that may involve additional costs. Decisions of a significant nature are made by the company's Chief Architect or Management team. – Guide teams in evaluating both human-created and AI-assisted design or code suggestions, ensuring that solutions are sound, secure, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with the overall architecture. **Customer and Sales Engagement** – Support new sales and upselling activities for both new and existing customers. – Help answer solution-related questions and contribute technical insight in customer dialogue. **Desired Education and Experience** – University-level education in software development, or equivalent practical experience. – Extensive experience and strong expertise in software design and development. – Must have experience: working in an IBM i environment and with RPGLE as a programming language. – Merited experience: Working with a Java technology stack and frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring for building production-ready environments and REST APIs. – Merited experience: AWS or other cloud public clouds. Business domain knowledge within credits is merited. Proficiency in agile software development. Proficiency in data security. Fluency in English is required. Swedish is desirable, and Finnish is considered a bonus. You have a pragmatic AI-first mindset and are positive about using AI as support for productivity and analysis, while applying professional judgment and taking ownership of the final result.
