We are looking for a Restaurant Shift Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Aito Igloo & Spa Resort.which will be one of the top luxury hotels and the most stunning getaway to discover the unique landscape of Lapland. We aim to deliver the best experience and privileged comfort to our customers as well as to value the sustainability of the planet \-1 ppl \- Duration of the Agreement: We are looking for potential candidates to start as soon as possible for this position with a seasonal contract, with the possibility of extending the contract.
\- Part-time position / Full time position \*Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant during the assigned shift.
- Coordinate and supervise restaurant employees during the shift.
- Allocate daily tasks and responsibilities according to operational requirements.
- Monitor staff performance, service quality, punctuality and adherence to company procedures.
- Ensure that employees follow the approved work roster and working-time arrangements.
- Ensure that customers receive friendly, professional and efficient service.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve routine service issues professionally.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, reception, housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor food and beverage service and ensure that company quality and presentation standards are maintained.
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, hygiene and overall appearance throughout the shift.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, occupational safety, hygiene and other applicable regulations.
- Where applicable, ensure compliance with requirements relating to the serving of alcoholic beverages.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, wastage or discrepancies to the responsible manager.
- Follow company procedures for cash handling, payments and point-of-sale systems.
- Complete or supervise end-of-shift cash, POS and closing procedures where applicable.
- Support the onboarding and practical training of new employees.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the employer within the scope of the position.
\*Requirements:
- Previous 1 experience in supervisory/shift manager role in restaurant operations, preferably in Finland.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to give clear instructions and coordinate employees effectively.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for shift operations.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to assist in different operational areas when required.
- Good understanding of restaurant hygiene, food safety and occupational safety requirements.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Good cash-handling, accounting and basic administrative skills.
- Ability to use POS systems and other restaurant-related systems.
- Good communication skills in English, Finnish language skills are an advantage.
- Knowledge of Finnish Hotel & Restaurant Industry Collective Agreement is a plus.
