In this role, you won’t just be enforcing compliance - you’ll be a key architect of digital trust across Kalmar Digital Solutions. By acting as the bridge between development teams, internal divisions, and the broader Kalmar cyber security community, you will provide the critical guidance needed to safeguard cloud platforms and IoT-driven offerings. It’s a front-row seat to our technological evolution, giving you the platform to drive proactive security processes, run threat modeling reviews, and shape the secure development practices that protect our business and customers worldwide. In this role you will report to the Chief SW Architect and the location is Tampere, Finland. What are your key responsibilities: Process Development & Secure Lifecycle: Own and advance the Secure Development Lifecycle and cyber security yearly clock within Digital Solutions, ensuring compliance with key standards (e.g., IEC 62443). Practical Risk Management & Threat Modeling: Organize and lead project security reviews, helping development teams identify threats, analyze risks, and implement pragmatic mitigation strategies. Organization-Wide Advocacy & Education: Act as a trusted advisor across Kalmar divisions, translating technical security requirements into actionable practices for non-security stakeholders. Community & Collaboration: Participate actively in company-wide security initiatives, working alongside internal teams, external consultants, and the broader Kalmar cyber security community Proactive Threat Identification: Continually evaluate and prioritize top security risks facing cloud, IoT, and software offerings, driving continuous improvement across development pipelines. What you bring to the role: Academic Foundation: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). Core Security Experience: Proven background applying cyber security principles, network and data security fundamentals, and security tools directly within software or system development projects. Methodological Understanding: Experience with Secure Development Lifecycles, threat modeling, and practical frameworks (such as IEC 62443 or ISO 27001). Communication & Critical Thinking: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex security risks in practical, clear terms to cross-functional teams. Desired Extras: Experience with cloud and IoT security (AWS), secure coding, security auditing, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or AI/ML applications in security operations is considered a strong plus.
