We are looking for an ambitious and results-oriented researcher with a strong background in design of test setups and conducting measurements to join our Integrated Circuits team, in Espoo. As a Research Scientist/Engineer, you will have a key role in verification through measurements of array sensor systems including control, readout, and intelligent signal processing with a focus on high performance and low energy consumption. You identify and solve problems independently and creatively while working closely and flexibly with a team of experts. Ideally, you could conduct the design from the concept to implementation and conducting the measurements. Depending on your background and experience, it is possible to expand the responsibilities below. Your responsibilities as a Research Scientist/Engineer: Designing and building test setups for array-based sensors Plan and conduct characterization of the fabricated chips Documentation of setups, verification procedures, and test measurements Collaboration with other experts at VTT as well as with external partners Active contribution to project planning, preparation, and implementation We are looking for a person with: At least BSc and preferably MSc in electronics At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing automated test setups and in conducting verification measurements of integrated circuits Experience in design of sensor readout/control/signal processing Experience in MCU programming, including low-level control Excellent communication skills in English Experience in project planning, acquisition, and management is a plus Experience in IC design is considered a plus As a person, we hope that: You strive for excellent results, but you also can prioritize and make pragmatic choices.
