Model-Based Design Engineer – Boom Control

WE ARE LOOKING FOR MODEL-BASED DESIGN ENGINEER – BOOM CONTROL We are looking for a Model-Based Design Engineer to join a long-term customer project in the heavy mobile machinery industry. In this role, you'll contribute to the development and validation of control systems for heavy mobile machinery, working closely with software and systems engineers throughout the product development lifecycle. This position is primarily based in Tampere. Required Qualifications - Professional background in control engineering, automation, mechatronics, or embedded software development - Demonstrated expertise in Model-Based Design - Strong MATLAB/Simulink skills - Good understanding of control theory and model-based testing - Working knowledge of C/C++ in a Model-Based Design environment - Experience with simulation, controller calibration, and code generation - Ability to work in both simulation environments and with physical equipment - Good communication skills in English Nice to have: - Experience developing control systems for heavy mobile machinery, industrial machinery, or other complex mobile equipment. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop boom control models - Simulate boom dynamics and test system behaviour - Generate or integrate production code - Calibrate controllers - Verify performance in simulations and on physical equipment - Support testing and validation throughout the development process
