We’re looking for a BUSINESS CONTROLLER, PULP to join Metsä Fibre’s Finance organization at our head office in Espoo. What will you get to do? In this role, you will be responsible for business controlling and business partnering for Metsä Fibre’s pulp sales and supply chain management. You will provide financial insights to support decision-making, lead forecasting and analyze financial results and key performance indicators across the business. You will work closely with sales and supply chain, production and finance teams, supporting pricing, sales planning and business development initiatives as well as preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will also design and manage data models and reporting structures to meet business analytics needs and contribute to the continuous development of financial systems and reporting tools. Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and regulatory requirements together with Metsä Group functions will also be an important part of your work. In this role, you will report to Metsä Fibre’s CFO and be a member of both Metsä Fibre’s Finance Management Team and the Pulp Sales and Supply Chain Management Team. What are we expecting from you? We expect you to have a higher education degree suitable for the position, such as an M.Sc. in Finance or Industrial Engineering and Management, together with at least five years of relevant experience in business partnering, financial consulting, controlling or similar finance roles. You also have a strong understanding of financial planning, reporting and business performance analysis. You have strong business acumen, analytical skills and the ability to turn financial data into clear insights and recommendations that support business decisions. Experience with data models, reporting structures and financial systems is considered an advantage. To succeed in this position, you are proactive, collaborative and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. You have excellent interpersonal skills, an interest in the bigger picture — including macroeconomic developments and their impact on business drivers — and the capability to act as an active member of the team. Fluent written and spoken English is required; Finnish language skills are seen as an advantage.
