Design Engineer

Job Title: Design Engineer Location: Finland – Data Centre Project (2-Year Contract) Package: Rotation Package Available Rate: Depends on Experience The Role - Develop, review, and coordinate engineering design packages for a large-scale Data Centre project. - Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, local regulations, and industry standards. - Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. - Support the coordination of mechanical, electrical, and civil design interfaces to ensure seamless project delivery. - Review drawings, technical submittals, specifications, and design changes for accuracy and compliance. - Attend design meetings, technical workshops, and coordination sessions with internal and external stakeholders. - Identify and resolve design clashes, risks, and technical issues in a timely manner. - Maintain accurate design documentation, reports, and technical records throughout the project. Requirements - Proven experience as a Design Engineer within Data Centers, Mission Critical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Energy, or large-scale construction projects. - Strong understanding of engineering design principles, construction methodologies, and project delivery processes. - Experience reviewing and coordinating engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. - Ability to effectively manage multiple design packages and stakeholder requirements simultaneously. - Proficiency with industry-standard design and coordination software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Navisworks, or equivalent). - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - MUST be open to working onsite in Finland. - MUST be available to work on a freelance/contract basis. - Previous Data Centre experience is highly desirable.
