Työn kuvaus

Controller, M&A Integrations Founded in 1909, Mehiläinen is a rapidly growing healthcare company that strongly invests in the possibilities of digitalisation and innovation. We are on a journey towards an ambitious goal: to be the leading healthcare company in Europe by 2030. Our growth story has already taken us to seven countries, driven by modern technology and the experts who make us a frontrunner in the industry. We are looking for a Controller, M&A Integrations to join our Treasury and Integrations team, based in Helsinki, Kamppi. Our Treasury and Integrations team is responsible for the integration of acquired companies and businesses as well as the entire group's financing, cash management, payment operations and financial risk management. Mehiläinen completes several dozen acquisitions every year in Finland and abroad, along with a large number of related corporate restructurings – mergers, liquidations, incorporations, intra-group business transfers and divestments. Acquisitions and their successful integration are a key part of value creation at Mehiläinen, and in this position you will have a concrete impact on the future of the entire group. In this role you will drive the financial side of M&A integrations hands-on – from due diligence, purchase price adjustments and opening balance sheets through to integrating the acquired company into the group's financial reporting. You will also contribute to the group's net working capital and net debt reporting. You work closely with the Director of Treasury and M&A Integrations and the wider Treasury and Integrations team. In this role, you will: Participate in financial due diligence reviews of acquisition targets. Review the opening balance sheets of acquired companies and prepare purchase price allocations (PPA) together with the Director of Treasury and M&A Integrations, drawing on input from across the organisation. Participate in assessing items affecting the purchase price, including net working capital and net debt adjustments, together with our legal and other acquisition team. Manage the day-to-day matters of acquired companies and businesses, and coordinate cooperation with external accounting firms. Contribute to the group's consolidated financial statements and monthly and quarterly reporting – in particular the Acquisitions and capital expenditure and Group structure sections – and guide the Finnish subsidiaries served by external accounting firms in their statutory financial statements. Communicate and coordinate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders – business units, finance functions, legal, IT, auditors and advisors. Participate in the group's net working capital and net debt reporting and in selected treasury and payment operations projects. Act as a deputy key user of the systems used by the team. Contribute to developing the team's processes, tools and ways of working – including harnessing AI, automation and new technologies in integration, treasury and reporting work. The emphasis of your tasks may vary depending on M&A activity and the profile of the person recruited. Requirements In this Controller role you combine solid accounting, financial reporting and acquisition accounting skills with strong coordination and stakeholder-management capabilities, and the ability to keep many threads moving at the same time. A few years of work experience in finance or accounting – for example in an audit firm in transaction services or audit, or in Controller roles – and a relevant higher education degree (e.g., M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration or Industrial Engineering and Management). Familiarity with financial systems, attention to detail with numbers and excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, in particular IFRS 3 (Business Combinations), is considered an advantage. Genuine interest in and ability to apply AI and new technologies in your work – you actively look for ways to automate and improve how things are done. Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, initiative and flexibility, along with a strong drive to grow and to be part of building the leading healthcare company in Europe. Fluent Finnish and English, as you will work daily with both domestic and international stakeholders; Swedish is considered an advantage. The ability to work in a constantly changing international environment across multiple tasks at the same time, with a development-oriented approach – while not shying away from routine tasks either. Experience in an international or multicultural environment, and in developing processes or systems is considered an advantage. Personal success factors A growth mindset – you enjoy challenges and embrace opportunities to develop both professionally and personally. A hands-on, can-do attitude – you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take ownership. Comfort with ambiguity – you make pragmatic decisions even under pressure. Strong sense of ownership
