Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort is one of Finland's best-known and most talked about travel destinations. This family business, founded in 1974, is in Saariselkä, Lapland. Kakslauttanen hosts around 30,000 visitors each year, many of them from abroad. We are looking for skilled, experienced, and service-oriented night receptionist for the winter season 2026-2027. A Night Receptionist is responsible for assisting our guests and making sure they feel safe and well taken care of during the night. The work mainly involves helping guests with different requests, both by phone, messages and in person around the resort.
Guest requests can be anything from bringing an extra blanket or helping with sauna instructions to opening a door if a guest has locked themselves out. You need to be ready to handle different situations and find solutions independently. The work requires a responsible, flexible and solution-oriented attitude, as you will be working independently during night shifts.
The contract is seasonal, starting as soon as possible and ending at the end of March 2027. We provide full-time hours. The work schedule consists of 5 night shifts followed by 2 days off.
The role will involve:
* Assisting guests with their requests by phone, messages and in person
* Helping guests with practical issues around the resort
* Handling unexpected situations and finding solutions
* Making sure guests feel safe and well taken care of during the night
* Supporting other resort operations when needed
Desired qualifications, skills, and experience:
* Fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages are an advantage.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
* Previous experience in hotel reception work and night shifts is required
* A valid driving license is required
* Good experience and confidence in winter driving
* Ability to work independently and make decisions
* A responsible, proactive and solution-oriented attitude
* Excellent customer service skills
We have two receptions serving our guests during the winter season, in East Village and West Village. The Night Receptionist will work at our West Village reception, and the night receptionist takes care of our guests staying in both villages.
The location of the resort is in the middle of beautiful nature. Here you also have time to enjoy nature and try different activities that you might not get to experience otherwise. We have a small gym for our staff, as well as opportunities to try cross-country skiing and other winter activities.
You need to have a valid right to work in Finland, either through an EU/EEA citizenship or a valid residence permit that allows working in Finland. It is possible to rent an apartment through us, so joining our team is easy wherever you are coming from.
In terms of employment, we follow the collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry (MaRa TES). The salary is based on the collective agreement and depends on your previous work experience and education.
We review applications already during the application period, so we may contact suitable candidates before the application deadline.
