R&D Project Manager, Bluefors Oy

We are looking for an R&D Project Manager to join Bluefors and lead complex product development and productization projects within the companys cooling systems portfolio. In this role, you will have an opportunity to drive the development of innovative technologies that enable some of the worlds most advanced scientific and quantum computing applications. This is much more than a traditional project management role. You will act as a technical project leader in a multidisciplinary environment, working closely with engineering, systems, product development, and productization teams to ensure successful project execution from concept through product readiness. We are looking for a person with strong technical curiosity, the ability to understand complex systems, and a passion for bringing new products from development to market. Previous experience in cryogenics is considered an advantage, but candidates from other complex engineering environments are also encouraged to apply. Your key responsibilities - Lead R&D and productization projects from planning through design completion and product readiness - Define and manage project scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risks - Coordinate and drive execution across multidisciplinary development teams - Act as the system-level owner, ensuring alignment between different subsystems and stakeholders - Manage technical requirements, interfaces, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle - Support decision-making by balancing technical considerations, project timelines, and business priorities - Drive projects towards scalable, maintainable, and production-ready solutions - Facilitate collaboration and remove obstacles to ensure smooth project execution What we expect from you - A degree in Engineering, Physics, or another relevant technical field - A few years of experience in project management, project engineering, product development, or a similar technical environment - Understanding of complex technical systems and product development processes - Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to work - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Fluency in English, both written and spoken Considered an advantage - Experience in productization, industrialization, or NPI (New Product Introduction) projects - Background in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, vacuum systems, process equipment, or other complex hardware environments - Experience working in multidisciplinary R&D organizations - Understanding of modular product architectures and configurable products - Familiarity with cryogenic technologies or other advanced scientific equipment What Bluefors offers Bluefors is a global technology leader in cryogenic measurement systems and cooling solutions, serving some of the worlds most advanced research organizations and quantum technology companies.
