About This Opportunity
Welcome to Nordea Finance IT & Data Management unit. These two positions are open in the Data & Application Management team.
What you’ll be doing:
Design and optimize our future data platform Understand the business domain to effectively understand and build data flows and models supporting data needs and requirements Collaborate closely with colleagues in and outside of the team Take ownership of delivery from requirements to production Take ownership of designing and building data models and data pipelines Set a high standard for what you deliver, prioritizing robustness, stability and maintainability Stay current with AI assisted development and adopt AI to increase efficiency, maintainability, and reliability The role is based in Helsinki, Finland and we follow hybrid model of working (60 % onsite).

You have at least 5 years of work experience You have strong technical expertise and are also genuinely interested in solving the business problem at hand You take ownership of the full lifecycle – from design to implementation and testing – and stand by the solutions you deliver You can clearly communicate complex technical concepts to others with ease You are interested in developing deep domain knowledge You care about long-term maintainability over short-term fixes You use AI as a tool to improve productivity, quality, and speed It would be beneficial if you know/have:
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, information technology, data engineering or relevant technical field Strong experience in data engineering and data warehousing, building large-scale data solutions Comfortable taking full ownership from requirements to production Strong SQL and Python skills Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow) Experience with legacy platform Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric Proficient in data modelling Experience with enterprise API integration Solid engineering practices (git, CI/CD, automated testing) Interest in AI and technology: you have genuine curiosity about AI and new technologies Please note, showing strengths in one area compensates for shortcomings in another.
