Työn kuvaus

Wave Company is looking for a new colleague to join our fast-growing community of around 50 top professionals. We are an independent tech consultancy on a mission to reshape the industry by connecting experts in a whole new way (Dev2Dev). We are currently looking for skilled engineers to join us. We are not looking for a single candidate who checks every box - we want to connect with engineers who feel at home with digital design, VHDL and hardware interfaces. These roles focus on deep-tech hardware interfaces, power electronics and high-speed data processing. What you will be doing: Depending on your background and interests, you will directly influence how hardware meets software: VHDL & FPGA Design: Logic design, timing closure, register-level architecture, pipelining and resource utilization (BRAM/DSP blocks). HW/SW Interfaces: Aligning FPGAs with system software (Embedded Linux, C++, Rust). Automation & CI/CD: Scripting tool flows and setting up CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Python) for automated bitstream generation and verification. Lab Testing & Verification: Hands-on lab testing and working with high-speed serial protocols. What we are looking for: Solid experience in VHDL design and general FPGA development (understanding timing closure, registers, signals and fundamental differences from procedural languages). Hands-on experience with Intel/Altera (Quartus) or AMD/Xilinx (Vivado/Vitis) platforms. (Primary focus is on Quartus but Xilinx background is highly relevant and transition time is allowed). Experience with C++, Rust, or Python is considered a strong plus. Curiosity for deep-tech applications - experience with digital filters, motor/power control modulation or VUnit testing is an advantage. Location & Ways of Working: Based in the Uusimaa region (or nearby areas) to support a hybrid model requiring approximately 2 days a week on-site at client premises. Language skills: Fluent English is required. Finnish proficiency is seen as a plus. Interested? Send us your CV or a link to your LinkedIn profile along with your contact information. We will review your profile and get in touch with you!
