Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Uusimaa, Finland. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and systems, including creating detailed models and drawings using CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks include performing engineering calculations, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development and optimization. The role involves participating in research and development activities, supporting prototyping and testing, and contributing to continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly processes. The Mechanical Engineer will also assist with project planning, documentation, and coordination to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including understanding of mechanics, materials, and thermodynamics.
Proficiency in Machine Design and experience developing mechanical components and assemblies.
Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and drafting.
Ability to support and contribute to Research and Development (R&D) activities, including prototyping and testing.
Basic Project Management skills, including task planning, coordination, and documentation.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Ability to work on-site in Uusimaa, Finland and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Good communication skills in English; Finnish language skills are an advantage.
Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
