Job posting end date: 10/25/2026 We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Instrumentation to join our Plant & Solutions Delivery team in the Minerals business area. In this role, you will lead instrumentation engineering activities in international engineering and delivery projects, supporting the successful execution of plant solutions and contributing to the development of industry-leading technologies and services. You will report to the Director, EIA Engineering, Plant Solutions, and the role location is Espoo, Finland, with a hybrid working model available. The role includes occasional business travel. Team you will belong to You will join the Plant & Solutions Delivery team in Espoo. The team is responsible for delivering engineering solutions for minerals processing and metals refining projects, supporting customers from studies and plant design through delivery and lifecycle services. The team collaborates closely with project management, customers, process engineering, automation, electrical engineering, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality project outcomes. The team’s work is guided by technical excellence, customer focus, accountability, and continuous improvement. What you'll do Act as the discipline lead engineer for instrumentation in international engineering and delivery projects. Manage the budget, quality, schedule, and execution of instrumentation engineering and supply packages. Select and size instrumentation according to process and control requirements. Manage competitive bidding process for instrumentation components in the project Lead and guide instrumentation engineers throughout project execution. Manage customer interfaces related to instrumentation together with the project manager. Develop instrumentation and process control concepts for selected plant types and process areas. Support process instrumentation sales activities and provide specialist expertise. What you'll bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering. Significant experience in process instrumentation or control engineering. Ability to lead engineering activities and coordinate instrumentation work in project environments. Proactive, results-oriented, and hands-on approach to project execution. Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic and self-driven way of working. Genuine interest in the measurement and control of challenging metallurgical processes. Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Willingness to travel as required by project and business needs.
