Development Engineer

Job Description We are looking for a Production Development Engineer for a permanent position at Fermion’s Hanko plant. Your role You will maintain and develop the technical level of the plant’s process equipment. You will participate in the design, procurement, and commissioning of new facilities and equipment as a representative of production. Your work will also include training of production personnel, participating in risk assessments, preparing instructions, and communicating with equipment suppliers. The position is located in Hanko. Approximately 200 people work at the Hanko plant, about 160 of whom are in production. You will be part of a team consisting of production professionals at the Hanko plant. You will also work closely with the plant’s maintenance and project organization. To Succeed In This Role, You Should Have Relevant technical education (e.g., Engineer or M.Sc. in Technology) Previous work experience in industrial tasks Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and/or process technology Good documentation skills and proficiency in using information systems Strong verbal and written skills in both Finnish and English.
