Automation engineer, engine controls

We are looking for a Automation engineer with a main responsibility in developing controls for our multifuel engines. The preferred location for this position is Turku, Finland but also Vaasa, Finland is negotiable. This is a temporary opportunity for 9 months. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work. Your role and responsibilities As Automation Engineer you will be working in one of our controls functionality development teams. Together with the team you are responsible for end-to-end implementation of new controls. A typical controls implementation task includes requirement gathering, modelling of the controls, development of test cases, implementation of controls and finally writing the documentation for the new control implemented. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. Youll be working as a member in one of our development teams. You will also interact with developers from other teams in area of engine controls. Requirements for the position: * M.Sc in automation engineering, process engineering or another relevant field * Knowledge of closed loop control design * Analytical mindset and ability to solve problems * Open minded and eager to learn * Excellent teamworking and communication skills * Fluency in verbal and written English, our everyday work language is English Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: * Competence in the following areas: * Matlab/Simulink programming * C programming * CI tools such as Atlassian and version control * Experience from model creation for simulation purposes * Experience in controls modelling * Testing skills, we use Robot framework for testing * Digital signal processing skills * Understanding of multi-fuel engine control Why you and us?
