Product Engineer | Python, React | Satellite Analytics Salary: €60,000-€80,000 base Location: Espoo, Finland | Hybrid, three office days per week Relocation provided for candidates based elsewhere A space technology scale-up is hiring Product Engineers to build software that turns satellite data into information customers rely on during floods, wildfires and other natural catastrophes.
Joining an established product engineering team, you, as the Product Engineer, will develop live products with real customers, working closely with Product, Design and analytics specialists to deliver new capabilities and improve existing functionality.
The roles can suit frontend-leaning, backend-leaning or evenly balanced full stack engineers.
The priority is product delivery experience, ownership and the ability to work across the stack.
The Product Engineer role
Deliver complete features, from backend APIs through to customer interfaces.
Translate customer and product requirements into practical, maintainable software.
Build functionality that makes complex data and analytical insights useful to customers.
Improve testing, deployment processes and the reliability of production systems.
Collaborate through code reviews, shared problem-solving and clear technical communication.
Support live products, including participation in on-call rotations.
Product Engineer experience required
Experience with
Python and/or React
Experience delivering and maintaining software used in production.
Familiarity with APIs and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
A practical approach to testing, code quality and incremental delivery.
Confidence taking ownership and working through changing or incomplete requirements.
The wider stack includes Python, FastAPI, TypeScript/React and PostgreSQL. TypeScript/Node.js backend experience is also relevant.
Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes or infrastructure as code would be useful.
Data-heavy or analytics products are particularly relevant, while geospatial and remote sensing experience are advantageous but not essential .
