How Will You Make an Impact?
We are now looking for Senior Software Engineers, with focus areas in Machine Learning, User Experience, or DevOps and Test Automation to join us.
We are transferring these roles from abroad to Finland and thus we are looking for new people to join us in these versatile roles on site in Vantaa.
Joining an international team of professionals, you will contribute to software solutions for microbiology products. Our software is part of regulated in vitro diagnostic laboratory solutions, where quality, reliability, usability, and compliance are essential.
We have three open positions for engineers who will work as hands-on software developers, while also bringing deeper interest and capability in one of three focus areas: Machine Learning, User Experience, or DevOps and Test Automation. We hope you are motivated to contribute and grow as a strong software engineer while applying special expertise that helps the team build better products and improve how we work.
We mainly develop Windows desktop software today, but we value a broad software engineering mindset and interest in modern software systems, connected solutions, data-driven features, usability, automation, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
• Design and develop software solutions: Build and maintain high-quality software for microbiology products.
Contribute through your expertise area: Depending on your background and interests, contribute across teams to machine learning capabilities, user experience improvements, or automation engineering practices such as test automation, DevOps, tooling, and development workflows.
Support modernization and continuous improvement: Help improve existing software, development practices, testability, maintainability, and effective use of modern tools, including AI-based development tooling.
Work as part of a cross-functional team: Collaborate with developers, product owners, testers, architects, project managers, quality, regulatory, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions.
Follow quality-driven development practices: Work systematically according to defined development processes, including documentation, traceability, verification, validation, and cybersecurity expectations.
What You'll Need
• Software development experience: Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, preferably on Windows, using technologies such as C#/.NET, Java, or similar.
• Good engineering fundamentals: Understanding of software design, debugging, source control, automated testing, and collaborative development workflows.
• Quality-minded way of working: Ability to work systematically, communicate clearly, document your work, and learn domain-specific development practices.
• Collaboration and communication skills: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, discuss technical topics clearly, and contribute to shared team goals.
Language and education: Proficient communication skills in English. Finnish is considered advantageous. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Focus areas
We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute in one of the following areas:
Machine Learning: Experience in machine learning models, model evaluation and data pipelines. You will join projects researching, prototyping and improving current and future ML initiatives.
User Experience: Experience in usability, user-centered design, workflow understanding, UI implementation and design systems.
DevOps and Test Automation: Experience in test automation, DevOps practices and improving development workflows.
Seen as a benefit:
Experience with clinical microbiology, diagnostics, healthcare software, laboratory workflows, scientific instruments, or IVDR medical device software.
Broad software engineering experience from areas such as cloud, web, mobile, or connected software systems.
Fluency in, or strong interest in adopting modern AI-based engineering workflows.
Experience with cybersecurity.
