Työn kuvaus
A development opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants to learn from experienced specialists and contribute to one of Finland's most ambitious industrial projects.
The opportunity
Arctial is developing a large-scale aluminium smelter project in Finland. We are looking for a motivated Junior Project Engineer to join our international project team in Helsinki. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project professionals, support the ongoing feasibility and engineering work, and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.
The exact content of the role will evolve with the project and can be shaped around the selected person's technical background, strengths and career interests. The position may include travel to the project area in Kokkola as the project progresses.
What you may work on
• supporting engineers and project managers in planning, coordination and follow-up
• preparing and reviewing technical documents, reports and project deliverables
• collecting, structuring and analysing technical and project information
• participating in design reviews, technical discussions and practical problem-solving
• coordinating information between disciplines, partners and other project stakeholders
• developing effective working methods and making practical use of digital, data, automation and AI-assisted tools
• learning from senior specialists and building expertise in large industrial projects.
What we are looking for
• a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, or studies nearing completion, in a relevant field such as mechanical, process, chemical, electrical or industrial engineering
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• curiosity, sound analytical thinking and a practical approach to solving problems
• the ability to organise information, work carefully and communicate clearly
• motivation to learn and to work as part of an experienced, multidisciplinary team
• fluent English and Finnish
• the right to work in Finland and the ability to work primarily on-site at our Helsinki office.
An interest in industrial projects and practical experience with data analytics, automation or AI-assisted tools are considered advantages, but we do not expect you to know everything already.
What we offer
• a monthly salary of EUR 3,100-3,600, depending on relevant experience, qualifications and overall fit for the role
• employee benefits including a mobile phone benefit, lunch benefit, sports and culture benefit, and comprehensive occupational healthcare
• a rare opportunity to contribute to a major greenfield industrial project from an early stage
• direct collaboration with and mentoring from highly experienced specialists
• a role with room to grow and develop in line with your capabilities and career direction
• an international, collaborative and low-hierarchy project environment
• the opportunity to see how a complex industrial investment is developed from feasibility towards implementation.
