Lead Engineer

Elexive is the AI agency for executive teams. We solve business problems one by one, from strategy to implementation, with a brain that stays. Until now, development has been led by our co-founder Rolf alongside his advisory work. More customers, more tools in production, and a platform evolving faster than one person can drive part-time: it is time. You take over day-to-day technical leadership, own the architecture, and shape what the engineering function becomes. What you will build Brain, our platform: the system that knows your company. It holds the numbers, decisions and plans, kept current, answering what is asked from the company's own data. Not a dashboard. Not a chatbot. Your work here: - Knowledge architecture that compounds: every engagement makes the next one smarter - Retrieval from a customer's own record, isolated, never the open web - AI orchestration: multiple models, multiple data sources, coherent answers - Interfaces an executive can use without training Customer operations tools, the revenue side: tools built for one company's specific problem, then kept running as a managed service. Your work here: - Scoped builds from reusable components; nothing starts at zero - Per-customer isolated deployments on AWS, infrastructure as code - Direct involvement in engagements: understand the problem, build the tool, stay until it runs You contribute to product vision, not just implementation. What you will bring - Full-stack or back-end-heavy experience from production systems that matter (5+ years) - You have owned architecture decisions and lived with the consequences - Experienced with AI-assisted development as a daily working method (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) - You can take a technical direction, defend it to a co-founder, and change it when the evidence says so - Comfortable working directly with non-technical leadership teams - MSc / BSc in Tech, or equivalent demonstrated through work What you get - EUR 60,000-90,000 a year - Full autonomy over technical decisions and architecture - Access to frontier AI tools and infrastructure budget without procurement - A growth path designed together, not predetermined: a team you lead, a technical co-founder seat, or something else that makes sense for both sides - Equity participation in a high-leverage business model How we work Remote-first and flexible, based in Finland, with Tampere or Helsinki preferred for hybrid presence. You work directly with both founders: Henri runs the business and the client relationships, Rolf hands over day-to-day technical leadership and stays involved in product thinking.
