What You'll Do As an internal software developer, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our internal products. You'll work on both backend and frontend systems, innovating and developing new tools while improving existing ones. While agentic coding will be a core part of your toolbox to speed up work, you rely on your own judgment to drive innovation and ensure system security. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to help identify and understand real-world problems and contribute to determining how these can be solved from a technical perspective. Depending on your experience level: Software Developer Trainee: You will work alongside experienced colleagues, contribute to real-world codebases, learn modern software practices, and build impactful tools while growing your technical skills. Software Developer: You will drive complex features end-to-end, take ownership of technical implementations, and help refine internal workflows. To succeed in this role, You'll have A completed or nearly completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Written and spoken proficiency in Finnish and English. (Other languages are considered a plus). Strong communication skills and proficiency in technical documentation. We are looking for professionals with coding experience gained either through work, studies, or dedicated hobby projects. In practice, we expect strong skills in the following areas: Frontend & Backend Stack: Experience with React and TypeScript (or similar modern stack), as well as backend development with Python (or similar) building APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations. Database & Workflow Tools: Proficiency with GitHub for collaboration, CI/CD, automated testing, and solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases. AI-Assisted Development: Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), including critically reviewing and auditing AI-generated code. Security Mindset: A strong understanding of secure development practices and handling sensitive data. Capability to drive complex topics end-to-end, from a rough idea to a proposed plan, to executing the solution. In addition, depending on the role: Trainee Level: 0–2 years of professional work experience, supplemented by hands-on coding experience from academic coursework, personal projects, or internships. For Mid Level: 2+ years of experience in software development, with a track record of driving complex topics end-to-end and maintaining a modular codebase. Considered an Advantage (“nice to have”) Experience building LLM-powered features like API integrations or RAG. Experience with cloud computing beyond standard web deployment (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Basic understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, or distributed systems/microservices. Prior experience working in a multinational organization or environment.
