We are part of the SD MarTech & Sales Technology in Group Technology, working at the intersection of business, data, and technology to support Nordea’s digital sales ambition. Our role is to enable effective digital sales across all customer channels. We focus on creating simple, relevant, and personalized experiences that help customers discover and engage with Nordea’s products and services. We build solutions that bring together customer data, insights, and content to deliver meaningful interactions across channels such as mobile, online banking, and other digital touchpoints. By combining data with technology, we help ensure that the right message reaches the right customer at the right time—while continuously learning and improving based on feedback and performance. What You’ll Be Doing Main responsibilities in this role: Designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a modern microservices architecture Taking ownership of solution design and technical architecture for complex features and components Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and analysts to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions Using AI-assisted (e.g. GitHub Copilot, internal agents) development practices to improve engineering productivity Supporting the team with technical leadership, code quality practices, and modern engineering standards (Test-Driven Development, design patterns) This role is based in Helsinki. Who You Are This is the right role for you if you: Enjoy combining hands-on development with architecture thinking Are curious about how AI can change the way software is built Like working close to business stakeholders, helping translate ideas into working solutions Take ownership and naturally step into an expert role within a team Are open to solving problems beyond pure coding when the situation requires it Your background and skills include: Strong experience with latest Java and Spring Framework Experience designing and building microservice-based systems Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture and modern development practices Experience adapting AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot or similar) or agents into everyday development workflows, such as code generation, refactoring, documentation, or test creation It would be ideal if you also: Are familiar with the frontend development Have experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines Work comfortably with Test-Driven Development What We Offer Collaboration.
