Senior Fullstack Developer, Ad Formats Are you an engineer who enjoys building new concepts that drive business value? At Readpeak, we're looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to develop and own end-to-end media format services for our programmatic marketing platform, where your work directly affects advertiser outcomes and company revenue. About the Role We're looking for someone with a strong software development background who enjoys the engineering side of building production systems. This is a hands-on role, with a productization twist: writing code, collaborating with stakeholders, building necessary services, validating, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You'll work alongside other engineers and product people, iterating on the product with real traffic. You should be comfortable working with structured data and building low-latency services that turn data into value. And naturally, our development team uses the latest AI tools, experience with AI-enabled development is essential. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain media services from ingestion through APIs to production deployment Ensure service security, monitoring, and observability in production We expect you to be comfortable working with modern AI development tools and to use them well as part of your everyday workflow. Collaborate with engineers, PO, and data scientists, and help raise the bar for how back-end systems are built and operated in production Ideate the next generations of ad products and formats Design systems that can handle noisy and skewed real-world data Qualifications Computer science fundamentals, software engineering best practices and strong programming skills (Node.js/TypeScript or a similar language, Rust as bonus, with experience running production systems) Experience taking fullstack products from idea to production ownership, including monitoring, iteration, and long-term maintenance Solid understanding of media formats including video and web content embedding into different user interfaces - apps, news websites, e-commerce stores Strong experience with AWS (ECS/EKS, RDS, SQS, CDK, MediaConvert, CloudFront), comfortable helping out on the infra side when operating at scale 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering Required Skills Strong programming skills in Node.js/TypeScript or a similar language Experience running production systems Experience with AI-enabled development and modern AI development tools Comfortable working with structured data and building low-latency services Experience taking fullstack products from idea to production ownership Solid understanding of media formats including video and web content embedding into different user interfaces \- apps, news websites, e-commerce stores Strong experience with AWS (ECS/EKS, RDS, SQS, CDK, MediaConvert, CloudFront) Experience with video formats (AVC, VC1, HEVC) - transcoding, editing with AWS, scalable and performant content delivery, web and native streaming players Preferred Skills Experience in ad tech Experience with real-time or low-latency back-end systems Experience with Python Experience with GitLab Comp Package 500€ HSL commute benefit 1-2 company trips per year with the whole team (we just came back from Italy) Free lunch every Wednesday Stock options are available, so you'll benefit from the success you help build We have an extensive healthcare package for team members working from Helsinki Additional Information This role is Helsinki-based and you should live in the Helsinki capital region or nearby We are very relaxed and easy-going, yet focused and hard-working As part of the journey, we create great memories with the team that you will never forget Stack you will be working with Node.js/TypeScript AWS (core infrastructure) Python GitLab CloudFront About the company Readpeak is one of the most advanced programmatic marketing platforms for native advertising globally.
