We are looking for a waiter/waitress in Alta! Join us creating great guest experiences centred around food, wine and hospitality. At Trasti & Trine, we are looking for a friendly and curious person who would like to help us create great experiences for both international and local guests. We care about food, drinks, hospitality, and the stories behind what we serve, and we hope you are interested in learning more together with us. You do not need to know everything from the start -- curiosity, engagement, and the desire to do a good job mean a lot to us. Experience from restaurants, food, or wine is of course a plus, but not a requirement. What matters most is that you enjoy working in a small team, are happy to help where needed, and contribute to a positive and lively working environment. As part of our front-of-house team, you will be involved in the whole guest experience -- from preparing the restaurant before service to taking care of guests throughout their meal. You will serve food and drinks, tell guests about the food, ingredients, and the place, recommend drinks, and work closely with the kitchen and the rest of the team. As part of a small team, we all help take care of the restaurant and the spaces around us. This includes things like dishes, tidying, and cleaning -- everyone pitches in, and we help each other to keep things running smoothly. Our working days are varied, and we like there to be room for responsibility, learning, and a little flexibility along the way. With us, you will have the opportunity to learn more about restaurant work, Northern Norwegian food culture, hospitality, and wine. We have a wine cellar with around 8000 bottles, and for anyone interested in wine, there are opportunities to taste, learn, and develop further. You will become part of an inclusive team with both local and international colleagues. We take our work seriously, while we like our working environment to be informal, inclusive, and friendly. Trasti & Trine is a hospitality company located 12 kilometres outside the centre of Alta, surrounded by nature. The company was founded in 2011, and today we have around 16 permanent employees. We run a restaurant, accommodation and dog-sledding activities. We have around 80 Alaskan Huskies, cabins for our guests, our own vegetable garden, a bakery and a bar. Sustainability is an important part of the direction we want for Trasti & Trine.
