To strengthen our service team in Finland, we are looking for a motivated and hands-on **Service Engineer** to support our customers with advanced airport technology solutions.
**Your Mission**
In this role, you will be an important part of our technical team, ensuring that mission-critical airport systems are commissioned, maintained, and supported to the highest standards.
You will:
- Perform servicing, preventive maintenance, commissioning, and diagnostics of ADB SAFEGATE hardware and software systems, both on-site and remotely.
- Maintain and update technical documentation.
- Provide technical expertise and support to our customers.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders while independently taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Conduct on-site surveys and prepare technical reports.
- Represent ADB SAFEGATE professionally in all customer interactions.

We are looking for a practical, ambitious, and reliable professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and taking ownership in an international environment.
**Required qualifications**
- A degree or professional qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Computer Science, IT, or a comparable technical field.
- Hands-on experience with electrical, automation, control, or industrial IT systems, including confidence in using technical tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify faults across hardware, software, electrical, and control systems.
- Practical experience with low- or medium-voltage equipment and the ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Professional working proficiency in Finnish and English, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and international colleagues.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, including occasional short-notice assignments. Some commissioning and service activities may take place outside standard working hours.
- A valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel independently to customer sites.
- Ability to manage assigned service and commissioning tasks independently while collaborating effectively with international engineering, project, and customer support teams.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to provide professional technical support, guidance, and updates.
- A proactive and responsible approach, with strong quality awareness, customer focus, and ownership of assigned tasks.
**Preferred qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, System Engineer, Service Technician, or in a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience with airport systems, airfield lighting, industrial infrastructure, or other safety- or operationally critical systems.
- Practical knowledge of PLC systems, switchgear, control equipment, and industrial automation.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases, including basic diagnostics, queries, and system support.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages used for diagnostics, configuration, automation, or system integration, such as Python, Bash, batch scripting, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud-connected systems, remote monitoring solutions, networking, or remote support tools.
- A relevant Finnish electrical safety qualification. Candidates who are eligible and willing to obtain the required qualification may also be considered.
- Knowledge of other European languages.
