Software Engineer

Title: Software Engineer Location: Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site) Assignment Period: Starts Oct 2026 (Long-term multi-year project, renewed quarterly) Workload: 100% (37.5 hrs/week) Role Summary: We are seeking an Embedded Control Software Engineer for a strategic, multi-year project in Helsinki. The position sits at the intersection of embedded software development, power engineering, and control systems, focusing on control solutions for electrical energy systems, power converters, and industrial drives. Key Responsibilities: Develop embedded software in C/C++ and Python for advanced power electronics platforms. Design and analyze control loops, feedback/feedforward mechanisms, and dynamic performance for inverters, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters. Utilize Git and testing methods within large-scale, collaborative engineering teams. Key Requirements: Strong hands-on experience in C, C++, and Python alongside Git version control. Academic or practical domain knowledge in Control Engineering or Electrical Power Systems (Power Converters, BESS, Solar, Wind, or Microgrids). Familiarity with unit testing, HIL testing, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps is advantageous. Fluent in English.
