Tiivistelmä työpaikkailmoituksesta: The interim ICT Support will assist ECHA’s Data Validation team in Helsinki from 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026 with a possible continuation. You will provide hands-on technical support for IUCLID validation rules and the ITEM tool, maintain validation rule inventories, and manage large structured datasets. You will encode data validation checks, investigate and document technical or data issues, and support testing and QA activities. Candidates must be accurate with structured data, have basic software development, testing and data validation knowledge, good English and relevant IT/data/scientific education, with IUCLID experience as an asset. Tämä tiivistelmä on luotu tekoälyn avulla. We are looking for an interim ICT Support for a three months project together with our client European Chemicals Agency ECHA. Please note that working language is English. The interim support staff will assist the Data validation team by providing hands-on technical support in activities related to data harmonisation and the design, maintenance and management of validation rule libraries. The role supports the Data validation team by managing large and structured datasets, contributing to IT product development activities, and assisting with testing of implemented rules. The job starts 1.10.2026 and ends 31.12.2026. It´s possible that the work will continue after this. Main duties: Provide hands-on technical support for the implementation and maintenance of IUCLID validation rules and the IUCLID Template Manager (ITEM) tool. Assist in investigating technical or data-related issues, document findings clearly, and escalate matters requiring design or prioritisation decisions. Encode data validation checks in ITEM based on agreed specifications and guidance. Maintain and update validation rule inventories, catalogues and structured datasets used by the team. Identify encoding, data consistency or implementation issues and report them with sufficient technical detail for follow-up. Support ITEM-related improvement activities by providing feedback from practical rule implementation and data handling work. Support the execution of testing activities and quality assurance (QA) processes. We expect from you: Ability to work accurately with structured data, inventories and tracking systems. Basic understanding of software development, testing principles, data validation concepts and technical workflows. Aptitude for learning and using IT applications, including data handling or automation-support tools. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow agreed procedures consistently. Ability to identify, document and communicate technical or data-related issues clearly. Education in a relevant discipline, preferably with an IT, data, scientific or technical orientation. Collaborative working style and good written and spoken English skills. Assets for this position: Knowledge or experience with the IUCLID software and related applications. Experience with software validation, testing, or other quality assurance activities.
