Tiivistelmä työpaikkailmoituksesta: Tehtävä on osa-aikainen (70 %) määräaikainen yliopisto-opettajan virka ajalle 1.11.2026–31.12.2029 ja vaatii asumista Suomessa aloitusajankohtana sekä säännöllistä läsnäoloa kampuksella. Hakijalta edellytetään soveltuvaa ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa, vahvaa asiantuntemusta opetettavista aiheista, hyvää tai erinomaista englanninkielistä opetustaitoa, hyviä yhteistyö- ja vuorovaikutustaitoja sekä kokemusta hanketoiminnasta ja ulkopuolisen rahoituksen hankkimisesta; tohtorikoulutus ja yliopistopedagogiset opinnot ovat etu. The position is part-time (70%) and fixed-term for three years. Job description The position is based in the Degree Programme in Administrative Studies, with teaching responsibilities in the MARIHE Master’s Programme. HEG conducts research on higher education administration and management. Its research and teaching focus on higher education and science policy; the governance, management and funding of higher education institutions, and higher education policy evaluation. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Administrative Studies Unit and HEG. The University Instructor will be responsible for teaching and delivering the following courses in the MARIHE Master’s Programme: “Digital Transformation of Higher Education and Research”, “Research and Transfer Management”, “Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Education”, and “Higher Education and Societal Challenges”. The University Instructor will also contribute to the implementation of HEG’s projects “Strengthening Expertise in Crisis Management for Robust Higher Education” (SECURE) and “Gender-Inclusive Strategies for Ethical and Effective Use of Generative AI in Higher Education” (GENWISE). Teaching duties include lectures, seminars, supervision of group assignments and other small-group teaching. The University Instructor is also expected to conduct research relevant to HEG’s field and contribute to securing external funding as part of the research group’s activities. The position may also involve limited societal engagement duties. Requirements Applicants are required to have: A master’s degree from relevant field. Strong expertise in the subject areas of the courses to be taught. Good or excellent teaching skills and the proven ability to teach in English. Good collaboration and interpersonal skills. Previous experience of project work and securing external funding. Successful performance in the position requires motivation to develop teaching in the field through research-informed and pedagogical approaches. Studies in university pedagogy and teaching experience at the advanced studies level will be taken into account in the selection process. A doctoral degree relevant to the position, substantial progress towards a doctoral degree, and other evidence of research and societal engagement is considered an advantage.
