Higher Education and Research IT Shared Services Centre Invites applications for the position of **Senior International EOSC Services and Infrastructure Expert with Experience in EOSC Node Development** _(Fixed-term position until 30 November 2029)_ **Your responsibilities** - Transfer and adapt international European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) experience to the establishment and development of the Latvian EOSC Node. - Develop proposals for the architecture, services and federation solutions of the Latvian EOSC Node in line with European EOSC standards and guidelines. - Provide expert advice to Latvian institutions on EOSC technical, organisational and governance solutions. - Foster cooperation with EOSC Nodes in other countries and National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), promoting the adoption of proven best practices. - Planning implementation of EOSC service catalogues and data space solutions. - Provide recommendations for the integration of EOSC services into Latvia's national digital research infrastructure. - Monitor developments in EOSC policies, architecture and technologies, assessing their applicability to the Latvian EOSC Node. - Promote collaboration between Latvian and European research infrastructures to ensure the sustainable development of EOSC services. **We expect** - A higher education degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another relevant field. - At least five years of experience working with the EOSC initiative or comparable European digital research infrastructure initiatives. - Practical experience in implementing or coordinating EOSC initiatives at the national level. - Experience in international digital infrastructure or research projects. - Experience in the development and implementation of EOSC service catalogues, federation solutions, data spaces or equivalent platforms. - In-depth knowledge of EOSC architecture, federation principles, governance models and technical standards. - Strong knowledge of cloud services, High Performance Computing (HPC), data infrastructures, identity management and federated services. - Knowledge of FAIR data principles, research data management and Open Science initiatives. - Understanding of service integration, interoperability and the implementation of international standards. - Experience collaborating with higher education institutions, research organisations, public authorities and international partners. - Experience in developing or implementing an EOSC Node pilot project will be considered an advantage. - Experience working with National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) or European research infrastructures will be considered an advantage. - Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level) – the role involves regular professional communication in English within the EOSC initiative, including collaboration with EOSC working groups, EOSC-A, and other international partners. **We offer** - The opportunity to contribute to the establishment of the Latvian EOSC Node and the development of the European Open Science ecosystem. - The opportunity to participate in the implementation of a nationally significant strategic project. - A supportive and professional management and project team. - A monthly gross salary starting from EUR 7,000, depending on professional experience and qualifications. - Flexible remote working opportunities.
