System Test Engineer - Marshalling solution

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER We are looking for System Test Engineers to join our team in Kaarina. You'll work with the Unikie Marshalling Solution , validating system functionality, investigating technical issues, and ensuring reliable system behaviour throughout development. The work combines hands-on system testing, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with developers. Some positions are primarily based in Turku/Kaarina , while others also involve customer validation work and regular travel across Europe. We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding how technical systems work, likes solving challenging problems, and is persistent in finding the root cause when something doesn't behave as expected. Responsibilities Plan, execute, and document system testing and validation Verify new functionality and overall system behaviour Investigate, reproduce, and troubleshoot technical issues Work closely with developers throughout testing and defect resolution Contribute to test automation where appropriate Required Qualifications Experience testing technically complex software or software-hardware systems Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing activities Technical background in software engineering, computer engineering, electronics, automation, embedded systems, or a related field Good communication skills in English WE'RE ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN CANDIDATES WITH: Experience testing or validating embedded, industrial, automotive, robotics, telecom, defence, medical devices, or other technically complex systems Experience with system integration, system-level testing, validation, or diagnostics Experience with test automation or scripting (Python, Java, or similar) Experience working with APIs, communication protocols, or diagnostic tools ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES: Finnish language skills Willingness to travel across Europe for customer validation activities (applicable to some positions)
