Process Engineer Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey to decarbonize the maritime industry? We are looking for a Process Engineer willing to mix creativity and engineering skills to develop design of fuel systems for the marine industry. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa (Finland) but also Helsinki, Turku (Finland), Trieste (Italy) are negotiable. Your role and responsibilities As a Process Engineer you will have the possibility to follow the entire lifecycle of our products from initial design to operational support through manufacturing, installation and commissioning at shipyard. Your work will mainly focus on engineering solutions for fuel supply systems for LNG, Methanol and Ammonia. You will be responsible of the design of piping & instrument diagrams (P&ID) and defining process equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, compressors etc.). You will also be responsible for creating thermodynamic and pressure drop calculations/simulations, developing operating procedures and other supporting technical documents for the fuel supply system. In this position you will be part of an international team working in close collaboration with other engineering disciplines as well as with customers, classification societies, suppliers and other stakeholders. You’ll also have the opportunity to play an active role in the constant development activities for the fuel supply systems for all the fuels. Requirements for the position : MSc in Chemical and Process Engineering or Energy Technology Knowledge of the marine/shipbuilding industry is seen as an advantage Experience with AutoCAD Experience with Process simulation software (AspenTech, MATLAB, AFT Fathom) Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: Good technical knowledge and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently Responsible, flexible, proactive, stress-resistant and planning skills Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal Good communication and collaboration skills The primary location for this role is Finland but this role can also be based in Italy where the annual salary range would be 27 887 EUR – 39 270 EUR , depending on seniority, and in accordance with the salary provisions in the National Collective Labor Agreement for workers in the metalworking and plant installation industry (CCNL Metalmeccanico).
