Applications are considered on a rolling basis Helsinki Hybrid Monthly salary: €5,500 - €6,500 Job Description For over 35 years, F-Secure has led the cybersecurity industry with our 200+ service provider partners. As the home of scam protection, we're reimagining how we protect people from modern threats through cutting-edge scam detection and solutions that are setting the industry standard. We bring together the sharpest minds of cyber security with a shared purpose: to protect people from modern threats. Here, you’ll have a real impact, making every digital moment more secure for everyone. You’ll thrive and grow in our Fellowship culture, where we dream big, trust, and challenge each other to deliver results and move with speed. You’ll be welcomed into a diverse, global team with an informal and collaborative culture where your voice truly matters.
Join us in securing the digital world together – where your work will make a lasting impact.
We're looking for Senior Data Engineer(s) to own a broad slice of F-Secure's Enterprise Data Platform: getting data in from business systems, modelling it in Data Vault 2.0, and shaping the publish layer and Power BI semantic models that reporting, analytics and AI agents across the company rely on. You'll build the inbound ingestion and outbound APIs that move data reliably and securely, and the semantic layer that makes it understandable and usable — including for the AI agents that are becoming part of how F-Secure works.
You'll join a small, senior Enterprise Data Platform team at a genuinely interesting moment: the platform is migrating from Snowflake to Databricks & from Azure to AWS, new integrations and data products keep landing, and AI-native development is the default way of working — AI coding agents such as Claude Code are used daily, not as an experiment. You'll pick up Agile Data Engine, F-Secure's Data Vault standards, integration patterns and the wider EDP architecture quickly, and grow into deeper ownership of the platform's integration, modelling and Power BI & AI use case enablement over time.
Day to day, you'll work closely with the Service Owners, the platform team, business stakeholders in Finance, Sales and Customer Service, Analytics consumers, and partners and vendors on the other side of the integrations you build. You'll gather requirements, design and secure APIs, build and monitor loads, troubleshoot failed loads under time pressure, and keep documentation and access control tight. You'll also have real input into how AI-assisted development and AI-ready data products take shape on the team — this is an area we're actively building out, not one with a fixed playbook yet.
This role is based in Helsinki, Finland, with a hybrid working model. We hope you are able to join us for common team gatherings at our Helsinki HQ when needed.
Our estimated salary range for this role is 5,500 – 6,500 EUR/month, based on your experience and skills.
What you'll do:
Design and build the Data Vault 2.0 layer in Agile Data Engine (hubs, links, satellites, business keys, incremental loading) and contribute to the business vault and publish layer (dimensions, facts, views) Design, implement and secure inbound and outbound APIs (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Entra ID/OAuth, ADF), and build inbound ingestion from source systems into the data lake and bronze layer Develop semantic views and curated data products that power Power BI reporting and AI agents, and build and maintain Power BI semantic models and datasets for business users Monitor data quality, reconcile against source systems and resolve data issues Manage read access and grants for owned data products with the platform team, following least-privilege principles Use AI coding agents as your default way of developing, testing and documenting, with critical review of their output What are we looking for?
Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience as a data engineer, integration developer or analytics engineer in a cloud data platform environment Strong data modelling skills: Data Vault 2.0 and dimensional (star schema) modelling Strong SQL skills, with an eye for performance Experience designing and building APIs and integrations (REST, OAuth 2.0, file/batch/event-based patterns), and solid Power BI experience building semantic models for business users Daily, fluent use of AI coding agents in your development workflow, with the judgement to know when not to use them Full professional proficiency in English Bonus points for:
Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake, and Agile Data Engine or similar DataOps/ELT tooling Python, and familiarity with AWS/Azure, Terraform, GitHub and CI/CD Exposure to AWS (Redshift, S3) as a source environment Interest in preparing data for AI agents — semantic views, metadata, business glossaries and access control Understanding of Finance, Sales or Customer Service processes Our hiring process:
Our hiring process will consist of three interview rounds: introduction interview, team interview, and final interview. Our aim is to move quickly through the steps and inform each candidate in a timely manner whether they will proceed in the process.
