Sampo Group is looking for an Analyst with strong data and statistical skills to join its Compensation & Benefits team in Helsinki. This is an opportunity to develop as an analyst while building expertise in C&B in an international environment.
**Responsibilities**
As an Analyst, you will support Sampos C&B team with data-driven analysis, reporting, and market insights across key compensation topics, such as fixed pay, equal pay and pay transparency, and executive compensation.
Your work will include salary benchmarking, compensation surveys, and monitoring market practices. You will analyze compensation data and turn your findings into actionable recommendations for C&B, management, and other stakeholders. You will also participate in stakeholder meetings to discuss findings and provide analytical input. Your analyses help guide the effective allocation of significant compensation-related financial resources across the Group.
You will also help develop Sampos C&B analytics by improving ways of working with data and exploring how tools such as AI can create additional value. As part of a team, you may also contribute to broader C&B development projects and responsibilities.
**What makes you a great fit?**
You have a relevant Masters degree, for example in economics, and strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently with data.You enjoy combining quantitative analysis with real-world business questions and are motivated to further develop your skills as an analyst. You also enjoy working with people as the role involves interaction across the organization.
Previous experience in compensation & benefits is an advantage but not required. More importantly, you are interested in compensation-related topics and motivated to deepen your expertise.
**We expect you to have:**
- A relevant Masters degree or final-stage studies, for example in economics or another quantitative field
- Entry-level work experience from analytical, data-heavy roles
- Strong analytical skills and an understanding of statistics, with the ability to apply these skills to practical business questions
- Good technical capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI, as well as an interest in utilizing AI in analytics
- Good English skills, combined with strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach, conceptual thinking skills, and motivation to develop professionally
**We consider as an asset:**
- Finnish and Swedish language skills
- Previous exposure to compensation and benefits, people analytics, or related HR topics
- Experience with Workday or other relevant HR systems

**Practicalities**
This is a full-time and permanent position in which you will be employed directly by Sampo plc. The preferred starting date is as soon as possible and will be agreed with the selected candidate. Sampos headquarters are located in central Helsinki, and you are expected to work at the office at least three days per week. The position has a fixed monthly salary, which will be negotiated with the selected candidate.
