Jobbeskrivning

We are looking for an AI Developer to our team in Espoo or Tampere! This permanent position is about building AI solutions that do real work in our customers' processes, and making them reliable enough to run in production. The role can be tailored according to your preferences and skills: some of our developers spend more time with the customer shaping which processes are worth automating, others go deeper into the orchestration, evaluation and operations side. You will join a team of experienced professionals from different areas of software expertise. We work in a hybrid mode, but in this role we expect strong presence in Espoo or Tampere. Naturally, you will have access to modern tools and strong co-operation with your colleagues. One of our strengths in career development is our diverse range of clients and various projects in different fields. That enables us to offer versatile opportunities for our employees. At Etteplan, we are concentrating on helping our customers especially in industrial system digitalization, which means the agents you build will touch engineering data, technical documentation, service processes and industrial operations, not just chat interfaces. Many of these customers have strict requirements about where their data may go, so running models locally and on-premises is a direction we are actively building capability in. As an AI Developer at Etteplan, the role would include (but not be limited to): - Map customer processes into agentic workflows: decide what the agent decides, what a tool does, and where a human stays in the loop - Design and build tool-using agents that plan and execute multi-step tasks, including task decomposition, state and memory handling, and controlled autonomy - Build and maintain the tool and integration layer: tool contracts and schemas, structured input and output, validation and retries, and connections to customer APIs, databases, document repositories and operational systems - Build the application around the agent, from the user-facing interface to backend services, databases, authentication and deployment pipelines - Deploy solutions where the customer needs them, whether that is Azure, another cloud, the customer's own servers, or an on-premises environment running local models - Implement the controls that make AI acceptable in an industrial context: permissions, policy checks, audit logs, and correct handling of confidential customer data - Stay up to date with the fast-moving AI tooling landscape and help us decide what is production-ready and what is not We are looking for a person who has: - Proven experience building LLM-based applications that reached production, not only prototypes and demos - Hands-on experience with agent frameworks and orchestration, for example LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Agent SDK, Semantic Kernel, Copilot Studio, n8n or equivalent - Experience working against AI and LLM APIs from several providers, including tool and function calling, structured output, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) or comparable ways of exposing tools and data to an agent - Full-stack capability: you can take a solution from user interface through backend services, databases, APIs and authentication to a running deployment - Docker and containers as part of your normal way of working, together with CI/CD and monitoring - Familiarity with cloud platforms, Azure in particular, and with AWS or Google Cloud as a plus - Ability to work directly with customers, translate ambiguous requirements into something buildable, and explain trade-offs in plain language - Working proficiency in English; Finnish is a strong advantage in customer work We appreciate also, if you are familiar with: - Local and self-hosted inference - Efficient handling of large volumes of data - Evaluation of non-deterministic systems - Industrial context: manufacturing, energy, machinery, medical devices or defence and security, and the systems around them such as MES, PLM, ERP, IIoT or technical documentation and CCMS environments The salary range is quite wide, reflecting our openness to both earlier‑career and more experienced professionals. What matters most to us is finding the right competencies and fit and aligning the role and compensation to match.
