Jobbeskrivning

Are you passionate about developing semiconductor technology platforms that enable advanced research, pilot-line operations and future industrialization? Do you want to work at the intersection of process integration, design enablement, metrology, quality systems and data-driven process development? VTT might be just the place for you. VTT is one of the leading applied research organizations in Europe. What unites us are curiosity, a passion for learning, and a purpose: to solve the biggest challenges of our time and turn them into sustainable growth and well-being. Our cross-disciplinary community of over 2000 brilliant minds from 55+ different nationalities focuses on creating impact through science-based innovation. In recent years, we have created ground-breaking innovations such as the world's fastest and most accurate radiation detector, a cancer-sniffing sensor device for smartphones, and a headphone set entirely made of microbial materials. Get to know us further by exploring VTT's tech & infra . We are now looking for an experienced Process Platforms Manager to join our Micronova FAB organization in Espoo! Micronova is a leading research and pilot-line environment for microelectronics, photonics and quantum technologies. The FAB organization provides the common process platforms, infrastructure and operational capabilities that enable technology development from early research to pilot-line readiness. These process platforms span silicon photonics, MEMS, nanoelectronics, advanced 3D integration and quantum technologies, including Thick SOI and SiN photonic integrated circuits (PICs), MEMS-based Fabry-Perot and BAW devices, non-volatile memories and TSV-based 3D integration. Working closely with researchers, process engineers and technology teams, the FAB organization supports the development, integration and industrialization of advanced technologies through shared process platforms, metrology capabilities and pilot-line operations. As a Process Platforms Manager, you will: Shape and advance Micronova’s shared pilot-line process platforms to meet the evolving needs of microelectronics, photonics, and quantum technology development. This position combines technical leadership and platform architecture ownership. As the technical owner of Micronova’s common pilot-line process platform architecture, including process modules, qualification approaches, design-enablement practices and platform, governance, you will work closely with research teams to support process platform development and the transition of research technologies into scalable pilot-line capabilities. The role complements the deep expertise within individual technology teams by developing common process-platform practices, qualification approaches and design-enablement capabilities across Micronova. It focuses on platform-level architecture, qualification and design enablement, while ownership of individual process modules, baseline recipes, and day-to-day process development remains within the technology and process engineering teams. You will act as a key technical bridge between process engineers, designers, metrology specialists, pilot-line development teams and the Data Management Lead, ensuring that platform capabilities, qualification practices, documentation and data structures evolve coherently across technology domains. The role also acts as a technical gatekeeper for platform maturity, process qualification, and PDK readiness. The position is part of the FAB organization, reports to the FAB Director and leads a small team of metrology and process quality specialists while driving the development of Micronova’s common pilot-line process platforms. Your key areas of impact: Define and evolve common pilot-line platform architectures, qualification approaches and capability roadmaps across technology domains. Drive the development of design-enablement capabilities and qualification frameworks supporting scalable technology transfer and pilot-line deployment. Own the development and harmonization of Micronova pilot-line operational and business processes. Define common operating models, governance structures and process frameworks across technology domains. Drive platform readiness, capability lifecycle management and continuous improvement. Establish common practices for quality, traceability, data management and performance monitoring. Ensure knowledge, best practices and lessons learned are systematically captured and shared. Support scalable pilot-line operations, technology transfer and customer-oriented service delivery. Who we are looking for: Strong background in semiconductor process integration, advanced microfabrication, or pilot-line development Demonstrated experience in process architecture, technology platform development and design enablement within semiconductor R&D or foundry environments Good understanding of semiconductor process flows, process capability, qualification methodologies, quality management
