SUPO) Why This Role Matters As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer you’ll build intuitive web interfaces that turn satellite tasking into transparent, reliable customer experiences. You will join the Missions UI, a team in ICEYE's engineering domain responsible for a customer-facing on-premise Web UI that enables tasking our satellite fleet and analyzing the resulting data. Our UIs cover the full lifecycle, from planning an imaging task on a map to successful product delivery, and that process has to be understandable, monitorable and transparent. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers and other engineers to design, build, operate and evolve these interfaces, with direct access to your users and their needs. Our stack is React, TypeScript and CSS, supported by a strong API ecosystem and modern frontend tooling. We value automated testing, continuous delivery, and modern code practices, including AI-assisted engineering with Cursor and Devin. You will work in a diverse and experienced team of engineers, collaborating across team and domain boundaries in a fast-moving, high-reliability environment. Your Day-to-day Responsibilities - Ship features and improvements to the tasking-to-delivery Web UIs reliably and predictably within the team's agile delivery cadence. - Raise frontend code quality and maintainability through clean, well-tested React/TypeScript contributions and active participation in code review. - Maintain reliability, observability, and performance of live production UIs through safe, incremental, and monitored deployments. - Translate product, customer, and stakeholder input into shipped solutions, working effectively across team and engineering domain boundaries. - Contribute occasionally full-stack to backend APIs (Node.js/TS, Postgres) to unblock delivery when needed. Role-specific Competences - Deep, senior level experience in frontend software development, with excellent knowledge of React, TypeScript, and CSS. - You've owned the architecture of a frontend subsystem, made real trade-offs on state management, performance and component boundaries, and can defend the ones you made. - Knowledge of UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers. - Understanding of REST APIs and backend integration patterns as well as CI/CD pipelines and modern development and quality assurance workflows. - Ability and willingness to occasionally go fullstack and contribute to our backend APIs using Node.js/TS and Postgres. - Experience working with live production systems with safe daily deployments. - You believe testing, documentation, and code reviews are essential parts of engineering, not chores. - Eagerness to understand business and customer problems and collaborate with stakeholders to make the right tradeoffs to build things that truly matter. - Uses AI-powered engineering tools daily and has a clear view of where they help and where they don't. Bonus: experience with geospatial data (PostGIS, GeoJSON). Base salary range for this position is 6000-8000 € per month (gross), depending on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
