GE Vernova is looking for 2 Senior or Lead-level LAYOUT ENGINEERS in FACTS/STATCOM electromechanical team in Tampere Finland. The Layout Engineers will work on the mechanical layout and 3D design of STATCOM systems. Their main tasks include equipment arrangement, 3D modelling, assembly and installation drawings, interface and clearance coordination, and providing inputs for foundations and site installation. They will work closely with electrical, civil, system, supplier, and site teams throughout the project. Must-have skills and experience: • Strong hands-on experience with Revit and SolidWorks • Experience in substation, FACTS, STATCOM, HVDC, or similar power infrastructure projects • 3D modelling, equipment arrangement, assembly and installation drawings • Understanding of interfaces, clearances, foundation inputs, and constructability requirements • Experience supporting engineering design reviews, project execution, suppliers, and site activities Good-to-have skills and experience : • BIM coordination and model integration • Experience with STATCOM valves, valve structures, cooling systems, piping, and site installation activities • Multi-disciplinary coordination with electrical, civil, and system engineering teams Education : • B.Sc . or M.Sc . in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline Preferred background: • Engineering companies working in substations, power systems, HVDC, FACTS, industrial plants, or large infrastructure projects Seniority : • Senior or Lead Engineer • 8+ years of relevant experience Language : • Fluent English Location: Tampere on-site Start: August Duration: 6 months to start, most like to be extended Why GE Vernova? 👉 possibility to work in an international large company with career prospects 👉 possibility to learn new 👉 be part in making the globe greener by integrating renewable energy.
