Senior / Lead Substation Design Engineer

Are you an experienced electrical engineering professional looking to work on cutting-edge power grid technologies? ALTEN Finland is looking for a Senior / Lead Substation Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to demanding energy infrastructure projects. In this role, you will be involved in the design and development of medium-voltage substation solutions and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities Design and develop medium-voltage substation solutions and equipment layouts Prepare and review SLDs, technical specifications, calculations, RFQs, and engineering documentation Ensure technical compliance and coordinate interfaces with suppliers and project stakeholders Support design reviews, tendering activities, and project delivery Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers, and suppliers To succeed in this role, you have Strong experience in electrical substation design Experience with medium-voltage equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars, reactors, capacitors, surge arresters, and related components Ability to prepare and review engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering Excellent communication skills and experience working in international project environments We offer ALTEN Finland offers a long-term opportunity to work within a skilled expert team.
