Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Process and Water Engineering

We are now looking for a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Process and Water Engineering , with a particular focus on digital water solutions and technologies, for a permanent full-time position. Role Description As a Senior Lecturer, you will primarily teach on campus and design pedagogy, including online learning materials, laboratory work and project work. You will also help develop the curriculum to meet the evolving needs of the modern workforce and participate in multidisciplinary projects with industrial partners. Your role combines theory and practice in teaching, laboratory instruction, thesis supervision, RDI activities, and project collaboration at Metropolia’s Myyrmäki campus. You will work closely with companies and other stakeholders in the process, chemical, environmental, and water technology sectors. The position may also include teaching and collaboration with partner universities abroad (including international travel), as well as participation in education export and business-related activities. Minimum Requirements Relevant Master’s degree in technology (e.g. MSc or MEng) At least three years of relevant industrial work experience Strong understanding of industry needs and an established professional network in the process and/or water sector Ability to work directly with companies and integrate real industrial cases into teaching, research and development Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse, international environment Fluency in English and willingness to learn Finnish (support provided) Professional Teacher Education qualification.
